Rod Stewart's work with Jeff Beck produced a successful take on Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready".

Dawn, What's not to like? My second favorite Rod performance, Jeff on a Fender Telecaster (could be a Broadcaster) and Trains. Works for me. BTW Eva Cassidy does a wonderful version of this song.

You should post it,
Eva's story is what
wrong with the music "Industry". She could not get a "major label deal" they did not know what to do with her, she did not want to be put in "one bag" she wanted to sing all types of material,so no deal.

I just read.. In 1993, Cassidy had a malignant mole removed from her back. Three years later, during a event for the Live at Blues Alley album in July 1996, Cassidy noticed a pain in her hips, which she attributed to stiffness from painting murals.

The pain persisted and a few weeks later, X-rays showed that the melanoma had spread to her lungs and bones. Her doctors gave her three to five months to live.

Cassidy under went aggressive treatment, but her health deteriorated rapidly. In the early fall, at a benefit concert for her at the Bayou, she made her final public appearance, closing the set with "What a Wonderful World".

Additional chemotherapy did not help and in six weeks she died.

Cassidy died on November 2, 1996, at her family home in Bowie. She was 33.

She was very shy and her producer had to push her to perform live. Thank God she loved to record, and spent a lot of time in the studio.
Eva could sing anything, and she could rock out with the best of them, check out her Wade In The Water, or Chain Of Fools.
If you what a good introduction Eva's music Songbird is a good place to start, then go directly to Live at Blues Alley, which has become one of my all time favorite Cd's of ANY TYPE of music. Yeah it's that good, the better your stereo the better it sounds.
