Bob Welch/Stevie Nicks: Ebony Eyes

The follow up to Welch's hit "Sentimental Lady," this song is a straightforward ode to a shy woman at a dance with the most alluring eyes he's ever seen. Welch was a member of Fleetwood Mac before recording as a solo artist.

Stevie Nicks: Dreams.

Among Nicks's contributions to Rumours was "Dreams", which became the band's only Billboard Hot 100 No.1 hit single to date. During the sessions for Rumours, everyone in the band was going through a breakup (Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham with each other, John and Christine McVie with each other, Mick Fleetwood with his wife). They were still able to work together, but most of the songwriting was on an individual basis. Stevie Nicks wrote this in the studio next door, where Sly Stone was recording. He had a big, semicircular bed and red velvet all over the walls. a great vibe for a song about dreams.

Buckingham Nicks, is a 10-track LP by Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. It was recorded in 1973. A reissue of the album came out in 1976. When Mick Fleetwood, of Fleetwood Mac heard the song "Frozen Love" he was impressed and invited both Buckingham and Nicks to join Fleetwood Mac, which they did in 1974. Stevie Nicks: Gypsy.

"Gypsy" is a song written by Stevie Nicks in 1979 and the earliest recordings were recorded in early 1980 with Tom Moncrieff on her solo debut album, Bella Donna. However, when Nicks' friend Robin Anderson died of leukemia, the song took on a new meaning. "Gypsy" was the second single release and second biggest hit from the Mirage album following Hold Me. "Gypsy" reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

I wanted my first post to be about my favorite singer and my favorite Stevie Nicks video. I love her voice and her style. There isn't a single female singer in today's "music", scene that can come anywhere close to her in my opinion.
