Janis Joplin: Ball And Chain.

Joplin's psychedelically painted Porsche 356C.

The song "Ball 'n' Chain" was featured in Big Brother and the Holding Company's Cheap Thrills album, this was their last album with Janis Joplin as lead singer. Janis' 1967 rendition of "Ball 'n' Chain" at the Monterey Pop Festival is considered to be one of her best performances.

Joplin and the Kozmic Blues Band performed at Woodstock in the late hours of Saturday, August 16. She performed until the early morning hours of Sunday, August 17. Faced with a ten hour wait she began to party and by the time she hit the stage, she was "three sheets to the wind." On stage her voice became slightly hoarse and wheezy and she found it hard to dance. She pulled through and the audience cheered her on for an encore, causing her to perform Ball and Chain twice.

Dawn, Cool Picture of Janis and her ride, looks like it was taken in San Francisco.

I would love to have Janis psychedelically painted Porsche 356C.
