Fleetwood Mac Peter Green : Black Magic Woman. With a side order of Santana and a spash of the Beatles.

"Black Magic Woman" is a song written by Peter Green that first appeared as a Fleetwood Mac single in various countries in 1968. In 1970, it became a classic hit by Santana, as sung by Gregg Rolie, reaching #4 in the U.S. and Canadian charts, after appearing on their Abraxas album, becoming more closely associated with Santana than Fleetwood Mac. In 2005 the song was covered by ex-Thin Lizzy guitarist Snowy White on his album The Way It Is. In 1996, the song was also covered by Gary Hoey on his album Bug Alley.

"Albatross" is a guitar-based instrumental by Fleetwood Mac, released as a single in 1969, later featuring on the English Rose album.

It reminds me of the song: "Sun King" from the Beatles, written by John Lennon, but credited to Lennon–McCartney and recorded by The Beatles for their 1969 album, Abbey Road.

Dawn, I'm having Way too much fun turning you on to classic stuff. I just love at the bridge of the song Peter, Mick, Denny, and John just take off on a shuffle. So Dawn , What do you think?

I was not very familiar with Peter Green's music, until I saw him on you-tube. I think he is fantastic. I had always thought Santana wrote this amazing song.

Dawn, you should also post Albatross, the color version from 1970 is flat out amazing.Back in the day it was Peter, Jeff Beck, and Eric Clapton, (you could argue about the order)
Peter was done in buy too much bad acid which lead to drug induced mental illness. That Peter is still with us and playing is wonderful.
