Aerosmith: Dream On.

"Dream On" is the first single by Aerosmith from their 1973 debut album, Aerosmith. Written by lead singer Steven Tyler, this blues-influenced ballad became their first major hit and classic rock radio staple. Released in June 1973. The song "Dream On" is pure magic. As we look back in time, we see this album was a blueprint for what was to become Hard Rock and Heavy Metal in the 70's and 80's.

I do love this song. It's one of 7 songs in the "rock" genre on my MP3 player. The only other ones that are really rocky are "Stairway to Heaven" and "Bohemian Rhapsody." The other 4 songs are quite mellow, though they classify as rock.

Anyhow, "Dream On" is such a great song. While I'm not much into rock these days, I do listen to the 70's station when I'm in my car. Some of those songs bring back SO many memories.

And my guess is that you and I are close to the same age, since you are into 60's and 70's music.

Patti, I love the "mellow rock" of the 60s and the 70s. I will post up "Stairway to Heaven" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" next..

My husband and I were married in 1974. We have the same taste in music and latley we have been spending our evenings watching "classic rock" video's from the "60"s and "70"s. Going down "memory lane" of our favorite music. It really has been groovy!! :)
