    Dawn, I love The Searchers. BTW this was at least the second cover version of this song. The hit was by the Clovers in 1959, the Coasters also had a version.
    The Searchers used a electric 12 string guitar long before The Byrds, and Tony Hatch went on to produce and wed Petula Clark.
