Beatles: Paperback Writer.

"Paperback Writer" is a 1966 song recorded and released by The Beatles. Written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney. "Paperback Writer" was the last new song by the Beatles to be featured on their final tour in 1966, and was the group's only U.S. number one released that year.

Dawn, love the song, but I'm not a fan of the 2009 remaster. Most audiophile Beatles fans feel the same way. Why? Well first George Martin and his
engineer,Geoff Emrick had very little to do with the project. Second they ran the analog master tapes (which are in very good condition) thru a computer recording system called Pro Tools to "make them sound more modern. They raised the level on the bass and used COMPRESSION, on the rest to make the music sound louder. This is not the sound George has on the master tapes.
Compared to the Us Capital Lp's (which had EQ's changed"for the American Market, don't believe me look at the LP liner notes) than they sound OK, but they SUCK compared to EMI English or German Lp's. When the first batch of Beatles CD(not the 2009)came out Geroge Martin was asked if he was shocked that the Lp's sounded better than the CD's . He said NO.

Dawn, If you care about what Capital did to the Beatles please read what George Martin has to say about it. Go To Musicangle.com type George Martin in the search and scroll down to George Martin interview part 2. It will open your eyes and ears.
